Born in Darlington on November 8, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Henry Grady Weaver, Sr. and the late Maggie Jane McElveen Weaver. Elaine was a graduate of St. John's High School and devoted her time to being a loving wife and mother. She was very active in the community when her health allowed. Mrs. Williams enjoyed singing and was a member of the "Old Time Band". She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Surviving are her children: Debbie Williams Clark of Daytona Beach, FL, James Elliott (Linda) Williams, Jr. of Darlington, Steven Michael (Patti) Williams of Dorchester, Charles Edward (Kathy) Williams of Monroe, NC; two daughters: Gail (Larry) Patterson of Florence, seven grandchildren: Sarah, Elizabeth, Brittain, Danielle, Sindy and Stephanie Williams, a number of great-grandchildren; sisters, Sullie Lane and Christine (Ed) Hursey and a brother, Cecil (Patsy) Weaver.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Marshal Patterson.
