Mrs. Allen was a 21 year resident of the Orlando, Florida area, living on E Concord Ave, when she died at Orange General Hospital of cerebral thrombosis.

Her husband was John L Allen, who predeceased her.

Her father was John Dickinson, of GA and unknown Sanborn, also of GA.

Informant of record was Linton E Allen of 216 Whittier Circle, Orlando, FL

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Virginia Allen, 82, mother of Linton Allen and George Allen, who died yesterday morning after an illness of several weeks, will be held Wednesday afternoon at 5 o'clock from the Carey Hand Chapel, with the Rev. D.H. Rutter officiating.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers have been announced as Howard Wheeler, W.T. Bland, W.J. Capehart, Jim Pittman, Campbell Thornal and J.Rolfe Davis.

Mrs. Allen was known as an outstanding worker of the Broadway Methodist Church of which she was a member, and was beloved by the congregation for her faithful and tireless work. Her death came as a shock to many Orlando's who had known her well.

In addition to her sons, Linton Allen, president of First National Bank here and State chairman of Defense Savings Committee, and George Allen, cashier of Leedy, Wheeler Company, she is survived by another son, Fred Allen, president of the Beach Bank at Jacksonville Beach, Florida.

Mrs. Allen came to Orlando with her late husband, John L. Allen, and their three sons, in 1922 from Brunswick, Ga. Mrs. Allen was the daughter of the late William Dickenson of Bainbridge, Ga. Her husband died in Orlando in 1922 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Allen had resided with her son and family, George Allen, at his home on 409 East Concord Avenue, since coming to Orlando.
