Found in The State 17 January 1960: Willie Reuben Aaron, 50, 728 Maryland Street, machinist with Pacific Mills for the past 35 years, died suddenly Saturday night at Baptist Hospital. Mr. Aaron was born May 9, 1909 in Eastover, a son of Mrs. Lula Belle Coker Aaron and the late Hagood Aaron. He had made his home in Columbia for the past 40 years and was a member of Whaley Street Methodist Church and the George Pierce Bible Class. Survivors include his widow, Ostelle Rafter Aaron; one daughter, Miss Linda Elizabeth Aaron of Columbia; one son, W. Reuben "Billy" Aaron, Jr., of Columbia; his mother, Mrs. Lula Belle Aaron of Columbia; five sisters, Mrs. Ellen Wilson of West Columbia, Mrs. Mozelle Reddick of Auburndale, Fla., Mrs. Evangeline Lovett, Mrs. Ethel Jackson and Mrs. Frances Lovett, all of Columbia; three brothers, William Aaron of New Zion, Walter Aaron of Cayce and Colie Aaron of West Columbia; and a number of nieces and nephews.
