MY FATHER

MY HEAD HANDS LOW, I'M SOMBER AND SAD. FOR THE LOSS OF MY OF MY DEAR, AND MOST LOVING DAD.

MY THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS, ARE SO HARD TO EXPLAIN. MULTIPIED BY INFINITY, MY SORROW AND PAIN.

MY FATHER WORKED HARD, WAS THE MOST WONDERFUL GUY. I CANNOT COME TO TERMS, TO LET GO AND SAY BYE.

SINCE I WAS YOUNG, HE BROUGHT JOY TO EACH DAY. LOVED US UNCONDITIONALLY, AND WOULD OPENLY DISPLAY.

I MISS HIM SO MUCH, MY TEARS SAY IT ALL. AS A WAKE IN THE NIGHT, HIS NAME I SHALL CALL.

AS MY PRECIOUS FATHER, AND MY GUILDING LIGHT. HAVING HIM IN MY LIFE WAS A FORTUNE AND DELIGHT.

HE LIVED LIFE, WITH HONOR AND GRACE. BUT NOT NOW HE MUST, IN A MUCH BETTER PLACE.

CROSSING OVER

OH, PLEASE DON'T FEEL GUILTY
IT WAS JUST MY TIME TO GO.
I SEE YOU ARE STILL FEELING SAD,
AND THE TEARS JUST SEEM TO FLOW.
WE ALL COME TO EARTH FOR OUR LIFETIME,
AND FOR SOME IT'S NOT MANY YEARS
I DON'T WANT YOU TO KEEP CRYING
YOU ARE SHEDDING SO MANY TEARS.
I HAVEN'T REALLY LEFT YOU
EVEN THOUGH IT MAY SEEM SO.
I HAVE JUST GONE TO MY HEAVENLY HOME.
AND I'M CLOSER TO YOU THAN YOU KNOW.
JUST BELIEVE THAT WHEN YOU SAY
MY NAME, I'M STANDING NEXT YOU,
I KNOW YOU LONG TO SEE ME,
BUT THERE'S NOTHING I CAN DO.
BUT I'LL STILL SEND YOU MESSAGES
AND HOPE YOU WILL UNDERSTAND,
THAT WHEN YOUR TIME COMES TO"CROSS,"
I'LL BE THERE TO TAKE YOUR HAND.

FISHERMAN'S PRAYER
By Sheila Simmons

Oh Lord it's hard to be humdle,
with my fishing pole in hand.
Why I almost feel like another Bill Dance,
not just an ordinary fisherman.
Forgive me when I stretch the truth.
about the one that got away
Why we both know he's in the lake,
waiting to be caught another day.
Calm me oh Lord, when my temper flares
When my lines become tangled
and I begin to swear.
Help me to look upon my fishing buddy
with patience, and grace
Why just look at the big one's he's catching;
I'd like to punch him in the face!
Lord please help me to think up a story,
to tell to that wife of mine
I told her I'd be home hours ago,
I just lost track of time.
