Mrs. Abney has been for many years a faithful member of the M.E. church and died in its faith.
Mrs. Abney came to Broken Arrow, with her daughter, Miss Addie, about three (years) ago, from Junction City, Kas. They opened a Millnery business here and made many friends.
The funeral was held at the M.E. church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the services conducted by her pastor, Rev. R.D. Pool. A very large concourse of relatives and friends gathered to pay their last respects to the departed.
The body was laid to rest in the Park Grove cemetery.
