STRATTON: Charles E. "Buck" Myers, age 93, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2012. He was born on August 9, 1919 in Yoakum to Samuel and Nan Cook Myers. He was a farmer/rancher and a member of Stratton Primitive Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II.

Survivors: daughter, Gloria Griffin and husband Joel of Cuero; sons, Joey Myers and wife Margaret of Missouri City, Marc Myers and wife Jan of Dallas, Tommy Myers of Yoakum, Anthony Myers of Mexico and Hugh Myers of Stratton; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Myers of Stratton and Rose Key Myers of Beeville.

Preceded in death by: parents; wife, Ethel Wenzel Myers; sister, Grace Kruse; brothers, Clarence Myers and Brian Myers.

Family visitation on Saturday from 6 p.m till 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral service on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home with Elder Bill Walden officiating. Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
