COLUMBIA - Services for Ostelle R. Aaron, 87, will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Whaley Street United Methodist Church with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6-8 this evening at Dunbar Funeral Home, Gervais Street Chapel. Memorials may be made to the church building fund, 517 Whaley Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
Mrs. Aaron, widow of Willie R. Aaron Sr., died Thursday, May 17, 2001. Born in Richland Co., she was a daughter of the late Stanmore Rafter and Ellen Griffin Rafter. She was retired from Pacific Mills. Mrs. Aaron was a very active and devoted member of Whaley Street United Methodist Church. Her love and dedication to her God, family and church were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, W.R. "Bill" Aaron and Sherrell of West Columbia; daughter and son-in-law, Rev. Linda Aaron Rickman and Rev. Cary Rickman of Jackson, Miss.; granddaughter, Elizabeth Rickman of Jackson, Miss.; grandsons and their wives, Jim and Jennifer Aaron, Stephen and Rebecca Aaron; great grandchildren, Holly Wilson, Alia ,Madison, Joelle, Jackson Aaron. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Rafter Wilson.
