Patricia A. Gillin, 61, of Johnson City, went to be with the Lord Friday, September 26, 2008, at her residence.
A native of Fordtown, TN, she was a daughter of the late Dempsey and Lora Vanover Fleming.
Mrs. Gillin was a member of Johnson City Freewill Baptist Church. She worked at Tulsa Dental.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Gillin, of the home; son, Wesley Shane Hughes, Johnson City; Kevin Gillin, Piney Flats and Brad Gillin, Gray; grandchildren, Blake Hughes, Alexis Hughes and Matthew Gillin; step-sister, Terry Ferguson; step-brother, Tony Young and several aunts and uncles.
The funeral service for Ms. Gillin will be conducted at 4:00 PM Sunday, September 28, 2008, from the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home with Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 PM Sunday in the East Parlor of the funeral home.
Graveside interment will be conducted at 10:00 AM Monday, September 29, 2008, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Blake Hughes, Roy Fleming, Cecil Fleming, Willie Fleming, James Keener, Brad Gillian and Kevin Gillian. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 9:50 AM Monday.
