The daughter of Clyde and Beatrice (Banks) Jordan, Doris was born in the family home in Otselic on October 23, 1924. She grew up in South Otselic where she attended and graduated from the local schools. Doris had made her home in South Otselic for many years prior to the deterioration of her health which made it necessary for her to move to the hospital's nursing home unit. She always enjoyed being with her family, and loved to play bingo every chance she got. A woman who never said a cross word to anyone under any circumstances, Doris was a source of inspiration and encouragement to her family and friends with her positive attitude and kind manner.
She married W. Earl Huntley in Norwich on December 25, 1942. Their marriage dissolved about 1964. Doris is survived by a sister, Esther Jordan Miles; two sons and two daughters; fifteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
