Dr. Alan Lee Baldwin, son of William Storrs (Stiz) Baldwin and Eleanor Briggs Baldwin, died at age 86 on Dec. 24, 2011 in Palo Alto, CA. Raised in Oak Park, Alan graduated from O.W. Stanford Law, JD, 1949 and Ohio State, MA, 1963), and taught public school second grade through college for 43 years in Redwood City, CA. Twice a Democratic candidate for the CA State Assembly, he maintained a lifelong interest in responsible government. In 1966, he and Marcia retired to her ancestral home in Twin Lakes, WI. Alan was predeceased by his brother, Robert Lewis Baldwin. His wife of 64 years, Marcia Scholes Baldwin (Oak Park High 1944), a son, Guy, daughters, Danna, Gay, and Dare, nine grandchildren and one great grandson survive him.
