Mrs. Anne Bartlett Adams, 84, of Mechanicsville, formerly of Quinton, went to be with the Lord December 7, 2012.

Anne was born and raised in Montpelier, VA. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Luther B. Adams.

She is survived by her three sons, Reid (Gail), Wayne (Jackie) and Larry (Gay) Adams; four grandchildren, Laura Goodman (Jeff), Tiffany Robins (William), Jeff Adams, Melissa Shaw (Billy); and seven great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her special friends and caretakers Stephanie, Stacy, Michelle, and Janie.

She was co-founder of East End Glass Shop in 1965.

She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church for 33 years.

She was also a member of the Martha Dandridge Women's Club in New Kent.

She had a love for traveling: New York, Nags Head and Pennsylvania were among her favorites.

The family received friends on Sunday, December 9, 2012, from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231. A funeral service was held at 11am on Monday, December 10, 2012, at Antioch Baptist Church, 3868 Antioch Church Road, Sandston, VA 23150. Interment followed in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
