Mrs. Edna Meigs Strong (1890-1957), wife of the late Dr. Samuel Benjamin Strong, died Friday in the White Air Force Base Hospital in Sedalia, Miss.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Edna Lewis, Sedalia, Miss.; four sisters, Mrs. Tom Perry, Palatka, Mrs. T. G. Alsobrook, Port St. joe, Mrs. Shaw Buck, Groveland, Mrs. C. M. Jevis, Long Island, N.Y.; two brothers, S. K. Meigs, Daytona Beach and James Meigs, Miami.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Presbyterian Church with burial in Oak Hill East Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tom Perry, Jr., W. L. Sleap, Raymond F. Smith, Roy Dougherty, Hugh Padgett and Ben Alsobrook. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd Monday, 3 Jun 1957.)
