Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 10, 2012 at the Belle Plaine Cemetery in Belle Plaine. The Reverend Stephanie Wall Brown will officiate.
Mickey was born November 9, 1926 to Austin Martin Helm, Sr. And Laura mae (Halterman) Helm in Dallas, TX. She graduated from McLeansboro Township High School in McLeansboro, IL. On November 10, 1946 she married Arthur R. "Bob" McClure in Medicine Lodge, KS. Mickey graduated from Cowley College in 1970, Southwestern College in 1972 and recieved her master's from Wichita State in 1979. Mickey taught elementary school and was the librarian at the Arkansas City Middle School for 10 years.
She is survived by her husband, Bob McClure of the home; two daughters, Chris Ann Hutchensof wellington and Clair Lee Hoey of Longwood, FL; four grandchildren, Kevin Hoey of Altamont Springs, FL, Lorraine Hoey of Longwood, FL, Catherine "Kate" Clause and husband, Raymond of Wichita, Kira Hutchens of Wellington; three great grandchildren, Teresa Hoey, Nicholas Hoey and Logan Hoey all of Florida.
Mickey was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Rheba Moore and infant brother.
Memorial has been established with Good Samaritan Fund at the Presbyterian Manor. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
