ELMER DAVIS
Elmer Carmon Davis of Savannah died Monday, Nov. 11, at Hardin County General Hospital at the age of 72 due to a stroke. He was married to the former Sara McDaniel. Mr. Davis served in, the U.S. Army during World War II, and he was a millwright in construction and a member of Southside Baptist Church. Services were at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Shackelford Chapel with burial in New Harmony Cemetery. In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Jimmy Roy and Curtis Carmon Davis of Savannah; three brothers, Clemons Davis of Clifton, Verries Davis of Savannah and Duell Davis of Missouri; and three grandchildren.
