FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MAX LONDON WERE HELD SUNDAY

Funeral services for Max H. London, 87 years old, long time resident of Corsicana and well-known in Masonic circles throughout Texas, who died at his home 316 West Sixth avenue Thursday noon, were held at the residence at ? o'clock Sunday afternoon with Rabbi Louis ? of Temple Beth-El conducting the services. Burial was in the Hebrew cemetery and Masonic honors. A large crowd attended the services despite the extreme weather. There were many beautiful flowers. Active pallbearers were ? Cerf, ? Mayer, R.B. Molloy, W.P. McCammon, Ivan Rosenburg and Henry Levi. Honorary pallbearers were Walter Beaton, Dr. Homer B. Jester, Dr. Trim Houston, A. Wiedeman, W.H. Nichol, K. Wolens, B. Rathael and J.A. Highnote.

A large representation of the Corsicana Masonic Lodge 174 were in attendance.

Mr. London was born in Graetz, Germany in 1838. He later lived in London, England, New York City, Galveston, Hallettsville, Springfield, Bremond. He came to Corsicana in 1877. He was a Confederate veteran of the Civil War.

Mr. London joined the Masons in 1863 and at time of his death was probably the oldest Master Mason in Texas. He is survived by two daughters, Misses R. Mary and Julia London of Corsicana, one son M? London and one grandson, Harold London of Austin.
