Albert Edgar Lemmertz, the
youngest of three sons of
Henry and Mary Lemmertz
was born at Lebanon, Missouri
on September 5, 1900.
He entered into rest at his
home in Newell on July 9,
1963, having obtained the age
of 62 years, 10 months and 4
days.
The family lived in Missouri
until 1919 when they moved
to Odebolt, Iowa, and a year
later moved to the Nemaha
community.
On January 30, 1926 he was
united in marriage with Ida
Mae Barnes and their first
home was southeast of Nemaha.
Later they moved to the
Newell area and in the fall of
1936 they moved into Newell
where he has since resided.
For the past 14 years he has
worked at Hygrade packing
plant.
Albert was a member of the
Odd Fellow Lodge at Newell
and of the Moose Lodge at
Storm Lake.
Besides his beloved wife,
Ida Mae, who passed away
three years ago, he was preceded
in death by his parents,
a brother Fred, and an infant
sister.
Surviving are his brother,
Art of Nemaha, several nieces
and nephews, other relatives
and a host of friends.
