Pauline Hodges Allen was always smiling and happy to see visitors to her home. She loved to cook for family visits, and was a hard worker all of her work life, being a meat cutter with Virginia Markets -- a rare position for a female at the time. She was known in the community for her friendly demeanor and loved her customers. She was a great walker, often walking to work, leaving her car home in the garage. Pauline was a member of Campbell Avenue Baptist.
Pauline was the daughter of the late Thomas B. and Annie Curry Hodges and was also preceded in death by one brother, Ted Hodges and three sisters, Kathleen Bland, Marie Witt and Edna Hodges. The family is grateful to their "special Angel" caregivers who took care of her. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease & Related Disorders Assoc. for research.
