GAYDON, Mr. Silas W. Gaydon, age 93, of Hiram, died Sunday, September 7, 2008. Mr. Gaydon was a WWII Arny Veteran, retired from Coats and Clark, and was a member of Clarkdale United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Frances Ragsdale Gaydon, son, Shirah Gaydon, Granddaughter, Alicia Wiggins and two Great Grandchildren all of Hiram.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Rev. Will Berkner and Rev. Darrell McGinnis officiating. Entombment will be at Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 -8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Clarkdale United Methodist Church, 5016 Austell-Powder Springs Road, Clarkdale, GA 30111 or WellStar Tranquility Hospice, 43040 Hospital West Dr., Austell, GA, 30106.
