The death of Mrs. Minnie C Payne, formerly Miss Minnie Harper occurred at 6 o'clock last evening at the home Mr. and Mrs. V.T. Payne, 251 Marshall street.

Mrs. Payne formerly resided in this city, where she received her education, until about four years ago when she removed to Buffalo where she has resided since coming to this city but a short time ago on account of her rapidly failing health.

She was 48 years of age, and is survived by two daughters. Ada and Marguerite, her mother, three sisters and four brothers, besides other distant relatives residing in Battle Creek. Her daughters from Buffalo and one sister, Mrs. Mark Ladd of Plymouth, will arrive today. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
