RUSHVILLE — Jewell B. Redden, 85, a long time Rush County resident, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, in Rushville. Jewell was born on March 24, 1927, in Lewis County, Ky., to the late Grover C. and Mima J. (Heater) Porter.
She lived most of her life in Rush County. Jewell married Lowell "Toad" Redden on June 8, 1946, and he survives.
Jewell worked in the Rush Memorial Hospital cafeteria for 17 years and was a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Rushville.
In addition to her husband, Lowell, of Rushville, Jewell leaves behind a son, Kenneth Redden and wife Terri of Greenfield; daughter, Mardena and husband Steve Suttle of Rockford, Ill.; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
Jewell was the youngest of seven children and was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 5 sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Moster Mortuary in Rushville, with Pastor Mick Saunders presiding. Friends are welcome to visit Form 9 a.m. until the time of service that same day. Burial will follow in East Hill Cemetery.
