American motion picture actress. Born Peggy Aarup to Danish-born parents, she appeared in a number of silent films, including "For Life" (1919), "Blind Chance" (1920), "Welcome Home" (1920), "Kamtuck's Ward" (1920), "The Vanishing Dagger" (1920), "Riders of Mystery" (1925) and "South of the Northern Lights" (1927). She is sometimes confused with another silent film actress, Peggy O'Day (1900-1964). Her later career was as a statistician with Northrup Aircraft. She was married twice, to Albert Owen Pegg (1930; divorced 1931) and then to John "Jack" Wells, from 1938 until his 1947 death.
