USMC, Gunnery Sergeant Skip Adams was called by the Lord at approx 0400.

An Iwo Jima veteran, he had deployed with the 5th Pioneer Battalion, B Co of the 5th Marine Division. He landed on Red Beach One the morning of February 19, 1945.

After he retired, GySgt Adams returned to San Jose where he raised his family. He was a founding member of Chapter #1122 of the Marine Corps League and supported and represented the US Marines in numerous local, regional and state events.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Pauline. Father of Steven and Brian Adams.
