He fougth in a 30 years campaign in favor of euthanasia and his own right to die. Finally, he committed suicide with the help of his friends. He wrote the book "Cartas Desde el Infierno" (Letters from Hell) and "Cando Eu Caia." His life inspired the new film of Motion Picture Director Alejandro Amenábar "The Sea Inside", recently released in USA.
