Kinchen is the son of Elydia Nichols and Wiley Strickland. Husband of Sarah Arvagina Peeler; Buried Strickland Family Cemetery, Dale County, Alabama. They came to Dale County in 1854; enlisted April 5, 1862 at Poplar Head, Henry County, Alabama (now Dothan in Houston County). Married Sarah Arvagina Peeler in 1848 (b. April 25, 1831 - d. March 2, 1879); Strickland Family Cemetery is located south of Midland City off County Rd 59 N in Dale County, Alabama, and is on private land that was once owned by Kinchen and Sara Strickland. (The Dothan airport is nearby.)
NOTES: Kinchen's full name is Kinchen Pratt Strickland. He would have been born in the original/old Randolph County, Georgia which is now Jasper County, Georgia. (The current Randolph County was established in 1828.)
