Joseph A. Sporrer, 43, of
Union, Wis., formerly of Dedham,
died Wednesday, Oct. 24,
2007, in Union.
Mass of the Christian burial
will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.
Saturday, Oct. 27, at St. Joseph
Church in Dedham. The celebrant
will be Father Anthony
Pick assisted by Deacon Louis
Meiners.
Lector will be Carolyn Sporrer.
Gift bearers will be Mr.
Sporrer's sisters, Carol Sporrer,
Connie Hulse, Ann Sporrer
and Kris Campbell.
Mass servers will be Tyler
and Rachel Grossman. Eucharistic
ministers will be Bob
and Linda Sporrer and Kevin
Schultes. Casket bearers will
be Bob Danner, Steve Mikkelsen,
Mark Mikkelsen, Dale
Sporrer, Dave Sporrer, and
Gary Sporrer.
Burial will be in St. Joseph
Cemetery in Dedham.
Friends may call at Sharp
Funeral Home in Carroll after
3:30 p.m. Friday. A rosary will
be prayed at 4 p.m., and there
will be a Christian wake service
at 7:30 p.m. by St. Joseph
Parish.
Mr. Sporrer was born March
18,1964, at Carroll, a son of Joseph
R. and Mary K. (Bohling)
Sporrer. He spent his younger
years in the Dedham community
and attended St. Joseph
School and graduated from
Kuemper High School in 1982.
He then attended Western
Iowa Technical School in Sioux
City where he majored in
agriculture. He farmed in the
Dedham and Viola Center area
until 1990 when he moved to
Wisconsin and farmed in the
Baldwin and Union communities.
Mr. Sporrer enjoyed his
children, playing 16-inch softball,
hunting and farming.
Survivors include his children,
Elizabeth, Isaiah, and
Samantha Jo Sporrer of Elmwood,
Wis.; his parents, Joseph
R. and Mary K. Sporrer of Dedham;
sisters, Carol Sporrer of
Des Moines, Connie Hulse and
husband Barry of Grimes, Ann
Sporrer of Dedham, and Kris
Campbell and husband Chad
of West Des Moines; brothers,
Pat Sporrer of Dedham, Art
Sporrer and wife Dianne of
Fort Dodge, and Glen Sporrer
of Dedham; and four nieces.
Mr. Sporrer was preceded
in death by his grandparents,
Joe and Rose Sporrer and John
and Bernie Bohling.
