Joseph John Scech was born in Detroit, Michigan. His mother was Stella Karczewski-Scech-Dossi. His father was Joseph John Scech. The family moved back to the DuBois, Pennsylvania area. Joseph Scech, Sr. contracted Tuberculosis and spent the last few years of his life in Rocky Crest Sanitorium in Salamanca, New York. He died in 1935. Stella remarried Romeo Dossi and the family moved to the Olean, New York area. Joe Scech attended Olean High School and married Jean A. Cashimere. They moved to Perrysburg, Ohio. They had 3 children - Donna, Amy, and Joseph Scech (Jr.). Joe worked for Ohio Plate Glass, in Toledo, and Trico Glass in Fostoria, where he was part owner. He opened his own business in Bowling Green, Ohio which was Glass Products, Inc. Joe was a successful businessman. He and Jean were divorced in 1990 and Joe maintained a residence in Toledo, Ohio and West Palm Beach, Florida. He died in 1997 of Lung Cancer.
