Kimberly Jo was born June 4, 1979, in Pittsburgh, to Joseph M. (Katie) Pampena, of Spring Church, and Kathie J. Paisley Pampena, of North Versailles.
She was a graduate of Apollo-Ridge class of 1997 and received her BS degree in molecular biology from the University of Pittsburgh.
She was a veterinary technician at VCA Castle Shannon Animal Hospital.
She enjoyed anything dealing with animals and animal rescue, camping, going to concerts, country music, riding Harleys, cooking traditional Italian meals, and baking.
She had a brilliant mind and a kind heart.
She is survived by her parents; her siblings, Michael (Tia) Pampena, of Murrysville, Ken (Lori) Pampena, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Mari J. Pampena, of Brentwood, Tracie (Matt) Kolar, of Brackenridge, and Rina Monteleone, of Natrona Heights; her maternal grandmother, Joan Bergamsco, of Springdale; her two dogs, Pilsner and Guinness; three cats, Puffy, Autumn and Murray; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday to the ROBERT PETERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights (724-224-7730), where services will be at 11 a.m. Friday.
Burial will follow at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township.
