Aleen Fay Lawson, 81, of Fort Smith passed away Monday, November 15, 2004. She was born November 7, 1923, in Chicago to Ted Rhode and Bessie Tampier Rhode. She was a 1942 graduate of Calumet High School in Chicago. She worked for Illinois Bell Telephone Co. in Chicago and American National Bank in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She attended Goddard United Methodist Church. She loved traveling, playing games, shopping, swimming, collecting Precious Moments, going to Lake Ouachita every summer and spending time with her granddaughters.
Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. at Goddard United Methodist Church under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Cremation followed the funeral service.
She is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 62 years, two dughters, one brother and sister-in-law, two granddaughters, and four grandsons, three nieces, one nephew, along with many loving friends and other family members.
