Dauzat died at 1 a.m. Sunday in the family residence, Hessmer. He was a retried automobile body painter.
Survivors include his wife, Olla Mayeux Dauzat of Hessmer; four sons, Sylman Dauzat of Baton Rouge, Tubin Dauzat of Killeen, Texas, and Terry Dauzat and Ronald Dauzat, both of New Orleans; two brothers, Linus Dauzat and Larry Helaire, both of New Orleans; one sister, Mrs. Leopold Dauzat of Hessmer; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
