Mallie N. Bartlett

Mallie N. Bartlett, 77, 1211 S. 37th, died today at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Leavenworth, where he was a patient two weeks.
He was born in Commerce Tex, and lived there for 53 years.

He retired in 1960 as a carpenter for the Union Pacific Railroad where he worked 39 years.

He was an Army veteran of World War I and a member of the Roger E. Sherman Masonic Lodge No. 369; Tirzah Chapter Order of the Eastern Star; the Argentine Post of the American Legion No. 3, the Union Pacific Old Timers Club, and the Mo-Kan Masonic Club.

Mr. Bartlett was a member of the Emmerson Park Christian Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Leona M. Bartlett (#100137810), of the same home; a son, George R. Bartlett, Roselle, Ill.; three sisters: Mrs. C.E. Celestial Eaker (#20492854), Albuquerque, NM.; Mrs. Floy Brannon (#52297541), Coolidge, Ariz., and Mrs. Leorna Hill, Wucaipa, Calif.; three brothers: Roy Bartlett (#99900630), Antioch, Calif.,; David Bartlett (#58007776), Artesia, N. M. and John Bartlett, Marlow Okla., and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Simmons Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
