George Walker played 5 seasons in the Negro Leagues (1 in the NNL, and 4 in the NAL) starting with the Homestead Grays in 1937 and concluding with the Cincinnati Clowns in 1943. His career record was 15-11 with a 2.67 ERA in 246.1 innings pitched. He posted a career 6.0 WAR, pitching in 51 games with 23 starts and 3 career saves.

After just 9 games with the Grays in 1937, Walker made an appearance in 19 games for the Kansas City Monarchs in 1939 where he went 8-1 with a 1.99 ERA while registering 63 strikeouts and 5 complete games. Walker would spend three full seasons with the Monarchs before ending his career with the Cincinnati Clowns in 1943.
