Rose DeRose, 78, of Camillus, passed away Sunday at Van Duyn Home and Hospital. She was a life resident of Syracuse and a graduate of Vocational High School. Rose was a communicant of Holy Family Church and a past member of it's Altar and Rosary Society. She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew J. DeRose, Sr. in 2005.
Surviving are four daughters, Janette Welch, of Syracuse, Mary Cleverly, of Camillus, Joanne (Joe) Brzostek, of Fairmount and Carolann Iannettoni, of Fairmount; two sons, Andrew, Jr. (Eileen), of Solvay and Paul (Jacqueline), of Syracuse; two sisters, Victoria Ranieri, of Jamesville and Helen Doty, of Fairmount; eight grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at 12:15 p.m. Thursday in Bagozzi Twins Funeral Home and 1 p.m. in Holy Family Church, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Ave.
