Denis Island is a privately-owned coral cay and the second northernmost island of Seychelles. It was named after the French navy officer Jean Francois Sylvestre Denis de Trobriand, who explored it in 1773. The cemetery, for which no known records exist, is located in the northwest corner of the island in an area called Pointe Mme Guichard.
