Add PhotosThe obelisk which perpetuated the memory of Moscow Grand Duke Dmitry Donskoy, a hero of the Battle of Kulikovo, was designed by the architect A. P. Bryullov and was solemnly opened on the Red Hill on September 8, 1850. In 1913-1917 by initiative of Tula clergy, the Church-Monument in the name of St. Sergius of Radonezh was erected on Kulikovo Field according to the design of the architect A. V. Shchusev.
The fields and the forest all around, is where 1000's of people were interred after the battle. Many bodies were moved to their origins.
