Saint Mary's Cemetery
Also known as Odibo Mission Station
Ohangwena, Namibia
As the roads are very sandy, it is advisable to use a light truck to travel from the border post. It is also advisable to consult the Mission staff in connection with the position of the graves or the SA Agency, prior to a visit.
Nine of the ten graves at this cemetery are those of men who fell on 6 February 1917 in a punitive expedition against the Kwamyama chief Mandume. These graves were originally at Namacunde in Angola and were moved to Odibo in 1929.
