She was the daughter of Thomas Lane of New York Mills.
She moved with her parents to Marcy where she was married to Charles D. Walcott, of New York Mills, a son of Benjamin D. Walcott. Her husband died in 1852 and she has since made her home in New York Mills.
She is survived by three children, Josephine Walcott of Utica, Ellis P. Walcott, Lacrosse, WI and Charles D. Walcott, director, director of the United State geological survey, Washington. Another son, William Walcott of Milwaukee, died in 1874.
